Mapping Black Imaginaries and Geographies (Mapping BIG) is inspired by a concept of epistemology ecology that acknowledges a dynamic interdependence inherent to the black speculative practice. Mapping BIG highlights interdisciplinary practice grounded in black digital humanities practices that seek to recovers black counterpublics that sought to uplift community and promote identity.
